Commencement: Hidden Sign Posts

As I was thinking about the story arc for the Future Perfect series, I imagined a pathway with a number of sign posts strewn about. Some of the signs were fixed in the ground and completely unmovable, while others could be picked up and moved to different places. These sign posts represent different pieces of information handed down to us regarding the Antediluvian era. The immovable signs represent the events and genealogies found in the Old and New Testaments, while ideas coming from sources such as the Jewish historian Josephus are the moveable ones. I thought it would be interesting to craft a story which would weave in between these signs and provided plausible answers to some intriguing questions that arise from the first five chapters of Genesis.
