Passage of Time in Future Perfect
This may not actually be a direct sign post describing anything in the Bible or other outside source, but it was something I thought of a great deal when writing the first story arc. A massive amount of time transpires between 900 A.M. (after man was created) and 1656 A.M., when the Flood occurs. Just like timeline of the Old and New Testament, as well as that of our own lives, there are long seasons where nothing new or exciting happens. In the case of Logan, there is not much he can accomplish until he has grown up more. He simply does not have the skills or experience to be of much use to anyone. So this short chapter is designed to give you an idea of his slow maturation during intervening thirty-year period. If the lifespan of an individual is 800-900 years long, there will be significant periods of time where life just happens with nothing exciting to report. The goal of the whole Future Perfect series is to accentuate those times when important events occur.
