Ink-bottleChapter IV

Tongues of Fire

In Chapter IV, Joshua Doss and Elijah (or Eliyahu in Hebrew transliteration) experience a similar type of  empowering of the Holy Spirit as the apostles did in Acts 2. It was important for me in this section not call this a new indwelling of the Holy Spirit, because, of course, Joshua Doss would already have been given the Holy Spirit at the time of his conversion. However, I wanted to have this function as the beginning of their ministry in the last days.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. ” Acts 2:2-3
