Two Mountains

In this chapter, I wanted Elijah to reflect on his experiences on Mt. Carmel and Mt. Horeb. He seemed to learn very different things on each of those mountains, yet he encountered God on both. Geographically, Haifa is very close to Mt. Carmel, and since Eli and Joshua lived there for several years, it would only make sense that they would go up on the mountain to pray. I could imagine Elijah telling the stories of what occurred that day fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice.
